I was at the Coliseum in 1993 when the Islanders made a magical run and fell to the Montreal Canadiens on their run to the Stanley Cup. Never did I think i wouldn’t see another playoff series win until 2016…and in another part of NY state in Brooklyn. I still get the chills when I think of John Tavares’ series clinching goal in double OT against the Panthers. Being at that game made me forget the 23 years of losses in the playoffs or not even making the playoffs to begin with!!!!
